OUR ORIGINS

Stillfibre is an off shoot from Stillpacas, an alpaca farm and equine livery in the midlands.  The grass available is very lush, most of the year, to ensure the alpacas can produce the best fibre, for the as long as possible.  Our best fibre is taken from the “blanket” (not the hind, neck and legs) of the alpacas under 2yrs.  These are called the Cira. A less fine, but more manageable product, is produced by our older alpacas. But don’t worry, you’ll still get that soft feel.
Here at Stillfibre you can purchase pure fleeces, raw (uncleaned) or cleaned.  These can be used for lagging, stuffing, spinning and other craft projects. Spun fibre is also available as balls and skeins, dependent on your own particular style for knitting achievements.
